Panchgani is nestled in the middle of five hills in the Sahyādri mountain ranges. There are five villages around Panchgani named Dandeghar, Khingar, Godavali, Ambral & Taighat. The Krishnā River flows nearby which made the lake of Dhom Dam on the Krishna 9 km from Wai.
Panchgani is about one hours’ drive from kaas plateau. Two hours away from Pune and 5 hours from Mumbai. Panchgani is also a great diversion for travellers to and from Goa.
